Corey's country Kitchen had terrific melt-in-your-mouth fried chicken. The portion was very large and came with two sides. The folks were all friendly. The restaurant was a little warn but very clean and the booths were comfortable. Mr. Nice was very welcoming (and he sings beautifully) #great meal

Great food . Great peeps!! Down home nice!! Got take out! Wife and I loved it! Can't wait to go back for a sit down! Virginia southern hospitality!!!

My only regret was not taking a picture of the food before we devored (yes, I said devoured) our meal. Hands down best whiting, oxtail and fried chicken we've had outside of my mother's house. If you enjoy well seasoned, succulent, tasty food cooked with love (yes, I said love), then there is no other place to go than Corey's. Great staff. Great food,. Great experience Williamsburg! My family and I will definitely be back!!!!

I was actually on my way to a different restaurant and saw this place. I turned my car around and decided that I had to try this place based on the reviews. I entered and was immediately greeted. There was a lady behind the counter as well. My service not sure of his name but he was a slightly older gentlemen was ok but a bit slow. He seemed like he had a bit of an attitude but every request I made he took care of. I ordered the fried chicken and rice w/ gravy and cabbage and. Corn muffin. The chicken is made to order and came out hot and fresh! !! The cabbage was good but I had to request it be pooped in the microwave. The rice was warm as well. However, the dood was good and probably the best I had in Williamsburg. The only issue I had was my server charged me for a drink which I didn't have! . I told the lady at the counter who removed it from my bill. That I thought was not cool of him. If I ever go back I won't sit in his section. All in all I'm giving it for stars! Like I said the food was good and my host and the cashier were great and my server was average.

I'm all about supporting black owned businesses and this place was on my radar when I was in town. The food was amazing. I ordered the Ox tales, black eye peas and rice and some mac and cheese. I was a little disappointed in the Mac and cheese but everything else tasted great. I was ready for bed after that meal.

The fried chicken and oxtail were amazing dishes. Fried green tomatoes were delicious! However, the sides we just okay. We would go again.

If you're looking for some down home soul food that's finger licking good, Corey's Country Kitchen is the place for you! The service is fast, the staff is friendly and the food will make you swear that your grandmother is being held hostage in the kitchen. The food is fresh, hot and delicious, with the fried chicken being made to order ( about a 15 min wait). Everything is made from scratch, including the desserts. So if you are in the area, please check them out!

One of my favorite places in Williamsburg. My favorite combo is the golden fried chicken (dark meat) with the corn pudding and Mac & Cheese and corn bread. It gets better though. The banana pudding is hands down the BEST I have ever had. Service is wonderful. Its my guilty pleasure.

This is our second time in Williamsburg since July 4th. Discovered this place by accident. We like southern comfort food so it seemed just like our kind of place. Decor is simple country. Modestly decorated neat and clean. The furniture is mid 20th century. There were mostly locals eating here. I ordered the country fried steak mashed potatoes and fried okra with cornbread on the side. Ms Yew ordered catfish with corn pudding coleslaw. Our guest Li'l Yew ordered the ground beef steak. This was down home good. Just like your momma might make if you grew up in the south like I did. For those of you further north of the Mason-Dixon Line this is goo-ooo-ood! The only way you get food this good is to be invited to someone's home. Someone who might really like you. For dessert I had the peach cobbler and everyone else had lemon cake. Let me tell you, dessert will make hurt someone it's sooo good. You owe it to yourself to try this place.

The restaurant we were going to was closed, on Mondays. This one was next door to it. So we tried it. We met some patrons leaving, one who is a regular. It is a very low-key establishment. The staff is A+. I ordered fried catfish, which came with two sides. I chose sweet potatoes and coleslaw. My friend ordered grilled whiting, corn pudding and green beans. We were both very pleased with our ample size meals. Delish. Then my friend topped it off with a tasty, authentic bread pudding. My friend, who lives in the area, says she will be back. It was a true pleasure.
